E-Detective 802.11 a/b/g Wireless LAN Forensics Appliance is designed for information investigation and forensics application. Users include business, reporter, police and military; can easily help them acquire important information.

E-Detective can capture airwaves in the air and decode (decrypt) raw data into normal and real E-Mail (POP3, SMTP, IMP4, Web mail, Hot mail), FTP, MSN, ICQ, AOL, YAHOO, QQ, VOIP, Web Cam, TELNET and URL Browsing of such protocol.

If wireless communications use WEP KEY encrypted protection, E-Detective can decrypt WEP KEY packets to find out its secret code. The WEP KEY decryption function capability is available for 64, 128, 256 bits or others special definition WEP KEY and some of WPA encrypted protection.

E-Detective may capture the signal ranging from 50 to 100 Meters or more (possible up to 2 – 4 KM). E-Detective may add GPS (Global Positioning System) kit to locate the geographic longitude and latitude and, to measure the signal of APs or STAs.

The information of detectable Wireless LAN AP includes, BBSID of AP (MAC address), Channel, number of STAs, encrypted packet and status, data packet, Additional information of AP (Example, manufacturer of AP, AP IC, Noise level and signal level, SSID or ESSID, Type of Wireless LAN: Probe, Ad-hoc or Infra, and amount of transferring Wireless LAN packet…etc.

The information of detectable Station (STA) includes, the number of encrypted packet through this STA, packet through this STA, IP Address of STA, MAC Address of STA, manufacturer of STA (the one has been authenticated), The highest transferring rate of STA, Noise level and signal level of STA, Type of STA (Established, To-DS or From-DS), …etc.
