1) Using "filename.bin"
- Launch your preferred web browser, Netscape or Explorer
- Access the Micronica WiP-400 by entering in the URL "192.168.123.254".
  The User Interface should come up immediately. If not then you probably
  have proxies enabled in your browser settings. Disable Proxies and
  try again.
- Enter the Administrator password to access WiP-400 Administrator functions.
  The default password is "admin".
- Select "Toolbox"
- Select "Firmware Upgrade"
- Select "Browse" to browse your hard disk or floppy for the filename.bin file.
  If you can't see any filename.bin files select:
  "Files of Type: All Files (*.*)" in the Windows selection menu.
- Double click on the filename.bin that you want.
- Select "Upgrade"
- Don't interrupt the upgrade process !!
- Allow the Micronica WiP-400 to reboot.
- Now enter "Primary Setup" and enter your WAN type, Username and Password.

1) Using "filename.exe"
- Simply run the program on your computer using windows "Start, Run" command.
  The program will find the WiP-400 automatically and do the upgrade.
- Now enter "primary Setup and enter your WAN type, username and Password.

The filename.exe is substantially larger than the filename.bin but easier in
straightforward situations. On the other hand filename.bin allows greater
control of any special browser settings or your own local network settings
that may be necessary to get access to the Micronica WiP-400.
So different users will prefer different methods.

When upgrading the firmware the rest of the configuration settings are not
normally affected and therefore don't need to be reentered. But maybe check
just to be on the safe side :)
