Woke up before 7.00 this morning and took the opportunity to walk Tara on the Narromine Golf Club - the gate was open and there was no one about so I decided we weren't doing any harm and she does need to have some running and playing. Poor Tara has picked up quite a few bindi prickles in her paws on our travels, but she has learnt that I can get rid of them for her so she hops up to me on three legs looking pathetic.
We went back into Narromine and shopped and visited the Tourist Information before heading towards Nyngan. This was only about 125 kms so we made a leisurely trip, stopping at Trangie for a walk - a tiny town with two very attractive pubs - and detouring to Warren to have lunch in a pretty park beside the Macquarie River.
We reached Nyngan around 2.00pm and walked a little bit before taking a look at the local museum. It was pleasantly laid out and I particularly liked the sense of community it demonstrated through the story of the 1990 floods.
We are staying at the Riverside Caravan Park, which is located beside the Bogan River. It is very pretty and we saw three pelicans. Tara is a lovely companion and is being very good.
