Focus Enhancements iTView DV
Help Notes
The iTView DV specially designed for the iMac DV. And really works very well !
Here are some helpful notes, tips and advice to help you out in case you
have problems or questions.
Let us know if there are any other items of wisdom we can mention that you may have used
successfully yourself. Make this list work for everyone's benefit :)
- How good is the picture quality.
Actual customer feedback: "Brilliant ! Very good picture quality".
- Does iTView DV work on an IBM PC.
No. It is software controlled via the I-MAC VGA output. So you can't control
it from a PC.
- Usage on PAL TV's.
iTView DV is software controlled via the I-MAC VGA output. Software controls
the NTSC/PAL setting. NTSC is default. So if you have a PAL TV connected it
may show picture in black and white or distorted picture or no picture at
all until you set it up. Simply select PAL mode form the software control panel.
- Power light does not come on but power is connected.
The light on the front of iTView DV is not a simple power indicator. It is
quite normal for the light to be off when power is connected and for both
the power supply and the iTView DV to be running warm. The light indicator will ONLY
come on when the iTView DV is plugged into an iMac that has the iTView DV
software loaded and running correctly.
- Does not work. What can I do.

Apple DVD Player v2.2 http://asu.info.apple.com, Update

OS 8.6 to OS 9.0.4 http://asu.info.apple.com Featured Software/GoToMAC OS
9.0.4
TURN OFF: Mac Manager (control panel)
TURN OFF: MultiUser Startup (Extension) then restart.
Discussion:
Here is the information for MultiUser Startup:
MultiUser startup version 1.3 is part of MacOS cpu software 2.2. I disabled MultiUser startup extention as requested. That fixed the problem. Now the iTView control panel loads properly and no longer crashes at the end of a cold boot before the Control Strip appears!!! Next I
turned Multi-user startup back on to verify. But it still won't crash despite all the previous crashes when i-TView and MultiUser were turned on. The i-TView just needs to load before MultiUser. In any case - it now works perfectly -
thanx!
All it took to solve the problem was Apple DVD Player 2.2. I did install 9.0.4, too, but then it crashed everytime I ran the DVD player. Now
it works just fine, especially after some color adjustment. Thanks for all your help.
